K-9 UNIT FUNDRAISER
CAR WASH
April 5th, 2008
PINAL COUNTY SHERIFF’S
OFFICE
The Fundraiser Car Wash on April 5th, 2008 to buy
a training "Bite Suit" was extremely sucessful.
We collected a total of $2,070 Dollars thanks to
the generous donation of Gold Canyon residents
Carol and Jay Mowat of $1,200 (the amount to
purchase the Bite Suit). Jay retired from
the Los Angeles Police Department, always admired
and respected
the work of the K-9 Unit.
We are very thankful
to Pastor John Gioia, Sr. from the
Superstition Foothills Baptist Church
for allowing us the use of the parking lot.

Welcome to the Gold Canyon
D.O.G. -Dog Owners Group- website, your source for information on
dog related events and information in the Gold Canyon community,
and for updates on our progress toward making the future off-leash
dog park KRAMER'S RUN a reality. Gold Canyon D.O.G. was
created on August 16, 2003 by a small group of dog owners sharing
the vision of an off-leash park in the area. The purpose of this
group is to Promote Responsible Dog Ownership. Our goal
is to have an off-leash dog park in our area. The organization will
not own the dog park, but will provide its members with opportunities
for educational activities and events for owners and their dogs
so they can interact. A well-run dog park is greatly dependent on
the continuing presence of such groups.
